how to read.
Teach your dog
calculations,
but make him do it
in his head.
Go down to the pond,
and talk foreign policy
with a group of frogs.
Open a checking account
for a tree.
Tell your cat
she reminds you
of a Rilke sonnet,
then make her guess
which one.
